RECOMMENDED NEARBY BEACHES
Along its 200-plus kilometres of coastline bathed by crystal-clear waters, Ibiza boasts endless possibilities for a dip in the sea and a variety of well-equipped beaches.
We recommend the following for proximity and popularity:
Cala Nova
This unspoilt beach of fine golden sand and gin-clear waters emerges from a dense forest of juniper trees. With a laid-back yet bustling atmosphere, it has restaurants and beach bars. Before entering the sea, check out the beach safety flags because it's regularly subjected to strong currents and easterly winds.
Es Canar
This is a cute fishing port that has been surrounded by magnificent tourist attractions. In addition to swimming in its pristine and crystal-clear waters, take the opportunity to do a spot of shopping at the bustling Punta Arabí market.
Cala Mastella
This is a truly unique and laid-back place. It's formed by a small cove at the mouth of a stream and, to its left, a picture-postcard fishing port with several boathouses. Make sure you visit Joan 'el Bigotes', a famous beach bar that serves freshly caught fish.
Cala Boix
With dark, powdery sand that stretches into gin-clear waters, this is a quiet beach due to its difficult access and not recommended for people with reduced mobility. It has a beach bar and a wide range of restaurants renowned for the quality of their seafood and fish.
Aigues Blanques
This sweeping beach with impressive views is very family-friendly and popular, despite being a nudist beach. Its horizon is flanked by Sa Punta Grossa, to the north, and the island of Tagomago, to the south.
Es Figueral
Located in a popular tourist area, this beach has all the necessary services and a whole host of options for water sports and entertainment. It's usually frequented by visitors staying in the area.
S'Argamassa
Nestled in a tourist area between pine forests and salt flats and formed by a string of coves linked together. This beach is famous for its transparent waters, its laid-back atmosphere and its varied services.
